Theatre and film actress and acting coach, Arianna Ancarani graduated in pedagogy under Ivana Chubbuck, one of the most important coaches in the world, before going on to study and collaborate with internationally renowned coaches, like Doris Hicks (life member of the New York Actors Studio). Before specializing in the Chubbuck technique as an actress and teacher, Arianna studied theatrical biomechanics with the greatest living teacher, Gennadi Bogdanov and with Claudio Paternò, her heir. In previous years, she studied and deepened her physical and vocal techniques with the ‘Liminalia’ company of actors work inspired by the innovation of the master Grotowski. She has also had the opportunity to meet and take part in in-depth studies with Antonio Latella, Andrea Baracco and Mario Perrotta. Arianna now works on national tours with actors of the calibre of Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Alessandro Gassmann, Ottavia Piccolo and Michele Placido. She takes part in film projects along with Raffaella Covino, Renato De Maria and Isabella Ferrari. She reads Nikos Dimou’s ‘The Unhappiness of Being Greek’ for Radio 3 and devotes herself to audio stories. She also teaches professional acting courses in Italian and English (C1 certification and master’s degree in ‘Translation and film adaptation’).
